The story of The Beach Boys and Brian Wilson

The Beach Boys achieved huge popularity around the world in the 1960s. The band launched many unforgettable hits, such as "California Girls", "Surfin' USA", "I Get Around", "Good Vibrations", "Fun, Fun, Fun" and "Help Me Rhonda". Wilson was responsible for the composition, production, vocals and arrangements.

The leader of the iconic band struggled with health problems for most of his life. He was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in the 1960s, which became active when the artist began to regularly reach for psychedelics. In 1984, he was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia , which is considered by specialists to be one of the most severe mental illnesses.

In February last year, the musician's family filed a motion in court to place him under the care of a guardian, as he had been struggling with dementia for some time. Doctors who examined the star found that due to significant deficits in mental functions, he was unable to meet his basic needs on his own. Three months later, by court order, Wilson was placed under guardianship .
